Women’s Travel Advocate

I’ve been an independent traveller on most of my international teaching sojourns and many of my personal vacations. It’s common for other women to say to me “Aren’t you scared to travel by yourself?”

Of course – sometimes, more than others. But I don’t let fear keep me from exploring the world. Over the years, I’ve developed strategies that help me to enjoy solo travel, and to feel safe and confident on my journeys.

I have blogged about my adventures on another website, Wise Woman Travel, for almost ten years. I have also taught courses on independent travel for Metro Continuing Education and the Edmonton Lifelong Learners Association (ELLA).

I’d be happy to provide instruction on solo travel to individuals or groups. Actually, now is a great time to prepare for that independent journey you’re planning as soon as it’s safe to explore the world again!
